Social Studies Homework Answers: 5 Tips To Keep In Mind

Social studies homework answers are not like answers in physics and chemistry. They are not overly technical and do not require accurate calculations and such. Answers in a social study task are largely detailed and often require the student to detail, analyze, or compare. Thus, most students often dread the pages upon pages of work, and the task of completing them. If you are battling a similar feeling, here are five tips to keep in mind to help you:

Social studies homework answers: 5 tips to keep in mind

  • Understand the type of questions: Questions in a subject like social studies are based on details: detailing the causes of a happening, the effects of an event, the implications of a decision and so on. Understand what the question is asking you. A basic method to do this is to determine the kind the question belongs to: Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How? Once you do this, you will be able to sort matters into comprehensible categories.

  • Do not fret about length: Students are often under the misconception that longer answers lead to better grades. No matter what the length of the answer, a teacher always looks for points related to the question. If you write an answer akin to a large folio but include only points of irrelevance, you will score no better than a student who didn’t attempt the question at all.

  • Look for better resources: Break away from the conventional sources that students use for references. Talk to people; go to the library and pick up a book; watch videos and conduct surveys. The more unconventional your sources, the more unique your answers will be. It is better to have a unique presentation than one which is the same as six other people in the class.

  • Make your answers authentic: If you are asked to conduct research, or make a deduction, do not try to escape duty by fabricating your answers. Put in a little effort and you will see your paper take a beautiful shape. Authentic research will not only get you a fresh, unique perspective, but also broaden your mind endless possibilities.

  • Do not plagiarize: Social study is a field brimming with researchers in all aspects. No matter how tempted you are, do not plagiarize anywhere in your homework. This is endangering not only reputation but also the credibility of your work.
